Rise Above Your Fears To Be Your Best You

Hello Abdominals! Hello incredible ab-core workout routine!

I had no idea what I was going to talk about today, until a few minutes ago and it hit me! Fear! Everyone has it! Everyone must face it, its what you do with it … and how you approach it .. that separates you from everyone else.   Before I went to write away, I flipped through a few pages of  the January issue of one of my favorite magazines, Success Magazine (if you don’t already subscribe, I highly recommend it!) and stumbled upon an article describing what highly effective people just don’t do.

I got stuck on #6 in the article – “Fear Taking Risks” – one of the 13 things mentally strong people don’t do! Perfect timing!

I can’t stand training abs, I just don’t like it even though I love the way they look. I am not comfortable raising my legs over my head and I have a fear of being upside down!

So … here comes Crazy Teresa’s workout today and what’s in it?

  • Let’s throw our legs over our head WHILE we lay down on a big bouncy stability ball and try and hold onto some stationary and not really straight object behind us.  Total fear rocks me when I think about falling on my head! …. I still did it! And got better! And once I was comfortable I was able to push out 10 – 15 every time!
  • Then there was the ….. Lets sit on a decline and do a series of a 100 different abdominal exercises while sitting backwards on a ridiculous decline.  Fear rocks me! But i did it, got comfortable and was loving the challenge!

Fear rocks everyone at different times in our day and in our life. Its up to us to decide whether we are going to be mentally strong and rise above it, try to conquer our fear and move past it or get stuck (whatever you do! don’t get stuck! keep moving ahead) and never try. Always try! You may surprise yourself!

And heck .. if I can look like a goofball, if I can throw stuff around like a lunatic (not caring what people think) and if I can yell back at the drill seargent (I mean that in the most loving way Teresa!), then so can you!

What’s the worst that’s going to happen? You try .. fail .. and then you try again. But you still conquered  your fear!

So today! I want you to be fearless and try something you may not otherwise try because fear rocks your insides!
