Work Hard .. Dream Big

Work Hard and Dream Big

Work Hard, Dream Big!!

One of my mantras – found a t-shirt with just that saying and couldn’t wait to wear it today.   We talk a lot about the exercise, the workouts, the cheers, the laughter and we kid around a lot both pre, during and post workout.

That said, I want to take a short minute today to connect with you and tell you that it’s not always easy. We sometimes show all the great things we are doing, all these awesome exercises, the workout routines, the laughter, the smiles and so much more but we don’t talk about the mental game (and when we say ‘we’ – I mean in general – the industry in general has a bad habit of just saying ‘do it’ ‘get off the couch’ ‘get motivated’ ‘start now’ ‘keep moving’)

I want to do the hard work justice. Not everyone wants to run around and leg press over 400 pounds like I did today and that’s just fine.  What I want you to take away from all our 18 weeks is the hard work and the commitment it takes to do something awesome. Whatever awesome is. Whatever your awesome is. It just sometimes is not as easy as it seems and looks. It takes a daily commitment both at the gym and off the gym.

You have to ‘get in the game’ and be willing ‘to push yourself’ outside your limits to do a little more and achieve a little extra.  If you are new to fitness, just start small. Start with a walk, add in a little weight lifting, take a class. The most important thing is just to start. Just do it. Just commit to a little hard work.

With each goal, dream a little bigger. Dream more. Do more. Commit to more.  Hard work does pay off! As I always say .. there’s no free lunch!!

Be all you can be, do all you can do and believe in yourself each and every step of the way and if you need a cheerleader, connect with me on Facebook and I’ll be your virtual cheerleader any day!

Don’t Give Up! You are stronger than you think (mentally first! emotionally second! Physically third!) — get in the game and have fun!

Hanging DeadliftsCiao for today! I’ll leave you with my hanging leg lifts! Darn I’m getting better each time I try! woo! Progress .. don’t strive always for perfection .. strive for the almighty progress!
